Michael “Smidi” Smith is an Emmy, Clio and Addy Award winner who has written and produced songs that have sold over 14 million copies worldwide including multiple #1 songs, albums and top tens. Smidi has worked with Coldplay, Ke$ha, Britney Spears, Kelly Rowland, the Pussycat Dolls, One Republic, Tyrone Wells, Chris Young, Paramore, and others. An original member of Keith Urban’s band, Smidi has written and produced music used in ads for Budweiser, Kellogg’s, Coke, NBC and several others ultimately winning an Emmy Award for his music package and theme song for the WB network. Smidi was nominated for an Emmy for his Paw Patrol theme on Nick Jr.

In addition to his successful album career, Smidi has written music for television including the theme songs for NBC’s Mark Burnett show The Restaurant, The PI on FOX, Paw Patrol on Nick Jr., F1 Decade on The Speed Channel and others.

Smidi’s music has been licensed in 8 Apple commercials, including worldwide music licenses for iPhone and iPad. He has also written and produced music for several shows on NBC, including The Voice, 30 Rock, The Office, Up All Night, Grimm, Parenthood, Parks and Rec, Meet The Press and Law and Order SVU.

Internationally, Smidi is known for his global theme for Live Earth, the largest televised concert in history produced by Kevin Wall on NBC. His theme opened the event delivered across 7 contents with concerts in New York, London, Sydney, Tokyo, Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, Johannesburg and Hamburg – as well as special broadcast events in Antarctica, Kyoto and Washington, DC. – and broadcast in the USA on NBC. Smidi recently penned a brand deal in Japan as a EDM writer, remixer and producer. His first 2 projects, Namie Amuro and Exile Tribe both went #1 in Japan and are both Double Platinum sellers. In 2013 Smidi produced 6 songs with music legend Giorgio Moroder.
